Najel’s Aleppo Soap is made from virgin olive oil and with 30% Bay Laurel Oil. Saponified olive oil is a powerful cleanser which nourishes, protects and softens skin. Bay laurel oil is known for its disinfectant and regenerative properties. The higher its concentration, the more the soap soothes irritated or problem skin (psoriasis, eczema, acne, dermatosis). This soap, which was first brought back to France in the Middle Ages (500 to 1500 AD), by the Crusades, is manufactured today in Aleppo, in the north of Syria, to traditional, artisanal methods. It is made solely from olive oil and bay laurel oil. Aleppo soap has withstood the test of time and continues to be sought after today.
